FIRST LEGO League 2026–27 BIOGLOW Registration Now Open

FIRST has officially opened registration for the 2026–27 FIRST LEGO League BIOGLOW™ season, which marks a major transition for the programme. FIRST has confirmed that 2026–27 will be the final season of the current FIRST LEGO League programme, with two editions running in parallel: the Founders Edition, using LEGO Education SPIKE technology, and the new Future Edition, based on LEGO Education Computer Science & AI hardware.

The BIOGLOW season focuses on biodiversity, with the new season and Challenge materials officially launched on 4 August 2026.

For the US/Canada Founders Edition, FIRST LEGO League Challenge is open to teams of up to 10 students aged 9–14. Team registration costs $285, with the BIOGLOW Challenge Set available separately for $105. FIRST LEGO League Explore costs $150 per team. These registration fees do not include participation in official local events; event availability and additional fees are determined by regional FIRST Program Delivery Partners.

International students can also participate, but registration varies by country. Teams in the US and Canada can register through FIRST, while participants elsewhere should contact their local FIRST Program Delivery Partner. For international listings, the most accurate description is therefore “International — local registration varies by country” rather than applying the US $285 fee globally.
