FIRST Robotics Competition 2027 Updates Registration and Payment Process

FIRST announced new registration and payment arrangements for the 2027 FIRST Robotics Competition on 17 September 2026.

Teams will be able to begin event preference selection on 24 September 2026. Registration payments will also move to the FIRST Storefront, introducing a new checkout process for teams.

For some veteran teams, certain registration options will only remain available until the 17 November 2026 payment deadline, making this an important date for teams preparing for the new season.

2027 Season

FIRST Robotics Competition is designed for students aged approximately 14–18 / Grades 9–12. Teams design, program and build large-scale robots for competition.

The new 2027 game, BIOCORE presented by Haas, will be officially revealed on 9 January 2027.

FIRST Robotics Competition currently reaches approximately 35 countries, making it an international STEM competition rather than a US-only programme.
